18 weeks

18 weeks

Rocking some more stripes to accentuate the bump, ha!
I know when I'm huge I will laugh at myself for this

How Far Along: Well, I will be 19 weeks tomorrow so this is my 18 week update.

Size of Baby: Baby Tomlinson is the size of a mango! About 6 inches long and .5 lbs. (I love the produce comparisons... two weeks ago he was a turnip and last week he was a sweet potato!)

Total Weight Gain:
4 lbs

Maternity Clothes: I have 1 pair of maternity jeans and 1 pair of maternity shorts and they are SO comfy. I don't  think I will ever want to wear real jeans or shorts again. Who wouldn't love a stretchy elastic waist band? I still fit in some of my regular clothes but I'm mainly wearing loose tops and maxi dresses :)

Gender: IT’S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!

Movement: YES!! I am so excited to answer "yes" to this question! My doctor told me I would probably feel flutters anywhere from 16-20 weeks and I felt him for the first time the day I turned 17 weeks! It felt like there was a butterfly trapped in my tummy. The coolest feeling in the world! I have been feeling him more and more this past week. I feel him most at night and in the morning when I am laying really still. I also feel him all throughout the day at random times. I almost burst with joy every single time I feel his sweet little movements!

Sleep: Waking up 1-2 times during the night to use the bathroom, but nothing too crazy.

What I Miss: For the longest time my answer to this question was "DIET COKE!" but I think I have finally stopped missing it.

What I’m looking forward to: Our next appointment on July 24th! We have our big anatomy scan that day and will get so see our sweet baby boy again. If all goes well for the remainder of my pregnancy, this will be the last ultrasound that we get.

Mexican.... what’s new!? I really don't know if this even counts because I crave Mexican everyday even when I'm not pregnant. Other random cravings I have had over the past few months include: chocolate milk, jolly ranchers, lots of fruit, & cherry pop tarts. (I promise I have been eating healthy too, ha!)

Symptoms: Nothing too crazy. Still pretty congested & some random headaches, but other than that just a growing lil baby bump!

Best Moment of the Week: We had some family and friends in town for a few days for the 4th of July so that was really fun. We ate lots of good food, the boys went golfing and fishing, and we all enjoyed a day on the beach too. We had a great time other than Russ's third degree sunburn. Ah!

Random Facts: Project Nursery is officially underway! I bought an old desk off Craigslist for $45 that I am turning into Everett’s changing table. I spent several hours this week sanding, priming, and painting it. I am not quite finished yet, but if it turns out as planned I will blog about it ;) Pinterest fooled me into believing this would be a quick and easy project. Um, yeah right. I don't care to see another piece of sandpaper for the rest of my life!

Alright, that's it for my 18 week update. Here are two pictures from when I was 16 weeks and my bump finally poked out for the first time!
