23 weeks

(We were slack this week so the only bump picture I have is this iPhone
pic from Everett's first trip to visit his daddy & grandaddy at work!)

How Far Along: 23 Weeks (I am 24 weeks today so this is my update from this past week.) Really can't believe I am already 6 months pregnant... time is flying by!

Size of Baby: He should be about 1.5 lbs and the app says that he was is the size of an ear of corn this week. The app measures from baby's head to their bottom instead of head to toe so these food comparisons are little misleading, ha!

Maternity Clothes: Same. I've been living in dresses and my stretchy workout clothes! I still haven't bought any maternity clothes yet besides 1 pair of jeans and 1 pair of shorts. I've been able to make my summer dresses and shirts work for the most part, but I will definitely need to go shopping for some maternity stuff for the fall.

Movement: SO MUCH! Goodness we have an active little one in there. I can’t imagine what it is going to be like feeling a 6+ lb. baby because feeling a 1.5 lb. baby already feels crazy! He gets especially active at night. The other night we were laying in bed and I was just cracking up at how much he was moving. I can see my stomach poke out really far on one side depending on where he is and I’m pretty sure he is pushing his little bottom up in the air when he does this. I have decided that his movements will probably never get old... I seriously love feeling him. It is still so surreal to me that I have a tiny baby human growing inside of me!

Sleep: I've been sleeping pretty good lately. Besides waking up to go to the bathroom and the fact that it gets harder and harder each day to roll over and get comfortable, sleep has been just fine! I'm pretty sure Russ will have to lift me out of the bed in the mornings when I am 9 months pregnant if I'm already struggling at 6 months... ha!

What I Miss: Can't think of anything.

What I’m looking forward to: We have our next appointment coming up next week, and after that we start going every 3 weeks instead of every 4. It isn't a big appointment but I always love hearing his heartbeat and making sure everything looks good.

Cravings: Still chocolate… and I’ve been eating a lot of PB&J's too. I also kept craving red Gatorade this week. These cravings are the most random things ever.

Symptoms: I still have a lot of energy most days but around 4 or 5:00 I normally get really tired and crash. I have been super busy doing a ton of photo sessions and I schedule all of those in the evenings for the best light so that has been a little tough being so tired but I'm making it work! Other than that, I have back pain some days just from all the changes going on in my body but that's about it. The heartburn has been much better this week too. Feeling blessed... nothing too terrible!

Best Moment of the Week: My mom turned 50 last week and we had some family in town to celebrate so that was fun getting to spend a lot of time with family and friends. Also, I hadn't been to the new Sportsman plant (they outgrew the old plant and are in the process of moving to a new place) so I went and saw that yesterday. I told Russ and dad that Everett loved visiting them at work... he was kicking like crazy the whole time I was there ;)

Random Facts: My grandma came in town and when I was showing her the nursery she asked me if I was going to have a mobile. I honestly hadn’t even thought about a mobile, but then started looking online after she mentioned it. I found some really precious felt mobiles on Etsy that I fell in love with but they were anywhere from $50-$150… crazyyy! I needed a break from editing one afternoon so I headed to Hobby Lobby to create my own. I am so happy with how it turned out and it really looks so sweet hanging in the nursery. It was such a fun little labor of love and it only cost me $4 to make!!!

These were my inspiration...

And here is the finished mobile I created!  Everything in his nursery is
really sweet and simple. The colors are all neutral, linens, whites,
& creams with light blue accents. More nursery pics to come!

    1. I realized this week that those "pops" of light blue I planned on adding don't exist yet so its reallllly neutral right now, ha! I need to get some prints on the wall and then I think it will all come together :) I love neutrals too!
