29 weeks

baby boy is growing!!!

How Far Along: 29 Weeks (Well, I am 30 weeks today so this is my 29 weeks update!)

Size of Baby: He should be around 17 inches long and close to 3 lbs. now. It is crazy to think that he is probably getting close to his birth length and will just be fattening up from here on out!

Maternity Clothes: I just bought some new maternity shirts and sweaters for the fall from Target and Old Navy online and am excited for those to come in. It has been a little hard to find stuff that I like in stores so I am hoping the online stuff fits and is cute. If it all works I think I should be set for the next 2 months!

Movement: He moves all.the.time. Sometimes I wonder when he ever sleeps! I'm not complaining one bit though... I love it! His movements have gotten so strong and my stomach looks crazy when he moves his arms or legs across. We joke that he must be practicing for the Olympics in there or something! I always try to catch him on video on my phone when he starts moving like crazy and I send them to Aunt Bray Bray :) I've also felt him have the hiccups a few times now. He got them during the USC vs. Vanderbilt game and Mom got to feel them too. Once again, he was going CRAZY the entire time we were at the game. He must love all the loud noise and cheering for the Gamecocks!

Sleep: Well, I finally caved and ordered a Snoogle pillow.  I couldn't justify spending $60 on a pillow but Russ told me to go ahead and order one so I did. Let me just tell you... I would probably pay about $260 for this thing. It really is that great. Russ keeps joking that he is going to steal it from me because its super comfy. I am still waking up to go to the bathroom several times a night but other than that I have been sleeping SO much better. All you preggos out there... go get you a Snoogle, you wont regret it!

What I Miss:
Nothing really except for being able to walk up the stairs and talk at the same time with out being out of breath, ha!

What I’m looking forward to
:  FALL! I know it officially became fall on Sunday and the weather has indeed started cooling off but I cant wait for it to really start feeling and looking like fall. It is my favorite season ever and I seriously get all warm and fuzzy inside thinking about the leaves changing, wearing boots and scarves, apple cider, and more SEC football!

Cravings: Still craving chocolate a lot and the past two weeks I started craving ice like crazy. It is super common in pregnancy to crave ice but it sometimes indicates an iron deficiency. At my last doctors appointment they checked my hemoglobin and it was a little lower than my pre-pregnancy levels but they said it was still great so I have nothing to worry about. I literally cannot eat enough ice though!!

Symptoms: Still feeling some pressure when he moves around really low and also some back pain. A few other things that are TMI for the blog, but really nothing awful or crazy!

Best Moment of the Week: Since I have been slack and haven't done a bump update in 3 weeks a lot of exciting things have happened. I had my first baby shower in Chapin a few weekends ago thrown by my two aunts and it was SO special. I am going to do a whole blog post on the shower because the decorations were out of control! They did such an amazing job and I feel so blessed by everyone's love for our little man! Another highlight was this past weekend when my college roommate and one of my best friends, Sally, got married! I was so honored to be a bridesmaid and get to be a part of her and Phillip's big day. The wedding was in Litchfield and it was absolutely beautiful.
Random Facts:
I PASSED MY GLUCOSE TEST! I don't know why I was so nervous about that thing but I have heard so many horror stories about people failing and having to go back for the 3 hours test so I had myself convinced I was going to fail. I drank the nasty orange drink and then Mom treated me to a yummy breakfast at Sea Biscuit afterwards. They called me the next day to let me know I passed... hallelujah! More random facts... I am still doing prenatal Pilates 1-2 times a week and really enjoying it a lot. The nursery is coming together and is almost finished! I just have to finish designing the prints for over his crib (with the help of Cat, of course) and then get everything hung on the walls and organized. Cannot believe he will be here in just 10 weeks!

Now for some pictures! I've posted most of these on Instagram already,
but here is a random assortment of iPhone pictures from the past few weeks...

I just love this picture of Drake! I can't even imagine how much I am going to
love our REAL human child because the amount of love I have for this sweet boy is
probably an unhealthy amount... goodness I am so obsessed with him.
He is saying, "Wait, Mommy... only 10 weeks left of being the baby!?"

A little manly craft I made for Everett's nursery

Cupcakes I made for Bible Study... I may or may not have eaten
8 of them myself... Gonna blame it on the baby while I still can ;)

None of my tshirts fit me anymore so I have stolen
a bunch of Russ's. I went to the grocery store yesterday and
looked down as I was leaving to realize I was wearing this lovely
redneck tee! I guess that's what I get for stealing his tshirts...

The delicious disgusting orange drink I had to down
in under 5 minutes for my glucose test.

My favorite worship song these days. Mommy & Daddy love
worshiping and singing this one to our little man.

Just a little sneak peek from my first baby shower!
Full blog post with camera pictures coming soon :)

The beautiful bride just a few minutes before she walked
down the aisle! Sally was the most relaxed and calm bride ever.
She was so ready to marry her man!

Me and my handsome hubby at Sally & Phillip's reception
(I had to ditch the heels the second the ceremony was over!)

My hot Momma and Daddy at the wedding :)
Foreal though, these two do NOT look like grandparents!

We LOVED getting to spend time with the Koons!

Love my Ashlynn!

Got to see some more pi loves! Me and sweet Shelley.

Bump-to-bump! Me and Megan are just 1 week a part.
Everett is due exactly 1 week before her little man!

My precious friend, Chelsea, made this dip for Bible Study
two weeks ago and I loved it so much that she surprised me last
night at Bible Study and made me this entire thing to take home.
(And I may have eaten it for breakfast at 8:30 this morning. Dont judge me)
Sweetest most thoughtful thing ever. Everett and I love you, Chelsea!!!
