32 weeks

I forgot to take a side profile pic. this week so this one will have to do!
This is me and my sissy love at my baby shower on Sunday.

How Far Along: 32 Weeks (I am 33 weeks today so this is my 32 week update)

Size of Baby: I haven't had any more ultrasounds so he hasn't been measured since 20 weeks but according to what I read it says he is around 18-19 inches and 3.5 to 4 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: I am so ready for this weather to cool down so I can start wearing my new fall maternity tops! I've been sporting my yoga pants and maternity tees for all my sessions these days and that is usually what I wear while I am editing too. I probably look like a bum but I sure am comfy!

Movement: Same... he's still moving a ton! The doctor told me to start doing daily “kick counts” where you lay down and make sure you can count at least 10 movements in an hour. Well, I probably feel 10 movements within the first 5 minutes of laying down so I guess its safe to say he is still super active in there!

Sleep: Same… still loving my Snoogle. Now I don't know how I am ever going to part with it. It is so wonderful.

What I Miss: Nothing really except for my appetite. I came down with a horrible stomach bug on Monday night and was throwing up every hour all night with 102 degree fever. I think it was probably the sickest I have ever been in my life. My poor mom and sister got it too and were both equally as sick. I lost 6 lbs and almost had to go in for fluids because I got pretty dehydrated but praise the Lord I was finally able to keep some fluids down on Tuesday and I didn't have to go get an IV. Shout out to my saint of a husband who had to lift this 8 month preggo up off the bathroom floor all night.

What I’m looking forward to: As of today we are officially less than 50 days away from our due date!! Only 49 days left until we meet our baby boy (hopefully!) Also, this weekend Russ and I are going on a little “baby moon” to the mountains. We wanted to plan a short trip for just the two of us to get away before the baby arrives... nothing fancy, but just a quick trip to relax and spend time together. I am really looking forward to a weekend away with my sweet hubby.

Cravings: Nothing new here.

Symptoms: Same... some pressure, back pain some days, feet are starting to swell if I am on them a lot during the day, etc.

Best Moment of the Week: Oh there are a lot for this week! My best friend, Cat, came in town Friday night and stayed the weekend. Her and my sister threw me a wonderful baby shower in Charleston on Sunday afternoon. I will dedicate a whole post to the shower, but it was a lot of fun and once again I was blown away by just how much our little boy is already loved. Cat also helped me to unpack, organize, and finish decorating the nursery. She is insanely talented when it comes to design and I loved watching her work her magic in the nursery. I sorda had everything thrown in there but nothing was in the right place. Everything looks so amazing now and I seriously want to cry when I go in there because it is just so peaceful and perfect! I am embarrassed to admit how many times I walk in there a day just to take a peek ;) It is finally finished... all we need now is our sweet little baby! I am going to do a full blog post on the nursery in the next couple of weeks when I get around to taking pictures of everything. I am forcing myself to finish all my client's sessions before I take pictures of the nursery!

Random Facts: I have been swamped with photography sessions lately. I am so super thankful for the business but it is getting harder and harder to shoot with this big ole baby bump in the way! I have sessions scheduled for the next two weeks and then I will be taking a break and catching up on editing and focusing on Sacred Made Christmas orders before little one arrives. Oh, and another random fact... We started rotations a few weeks ago so we could meet the other 4 doctors in our practice and we really like everyone we have met so far. Since we have no idea who is going to be on call when I go into labor, it makes me feel good to like all of the other doctors so far. We had an appointment yesterday and Everett's heart rate was 154. They said everything looked good and for me to just keep trying my hardest to get my appetite back and gain back the pounds that I lost being so sick. I am sure I will be back to normal in no time!

Here is one little sneak peek of the nursery :) Its the only picture I have on my phone.
A sweet little corner in his crib with his sleep sheep and elephant lovey. Melts my heart!

  1. So happy to know you're feeling much better. Don't be embarrassed about peaking in the nursery! I can only imagine how emotional it must be looking in there with it all ready to go. I can't believe the little boy is coming so soon! Hope you and Russ have a great weekend!
